Which tool do you use to encode x264?
I thought it would be interesting to know how people encode x264.

I wish I could vote twice because I use both win32 and *nix systems. I ended up voting for the win32 tool (MeGUI x264) because I use that more often than batch/script now.
The full MeGUI is great for all the ASP projects though. Now I just have to try out StaxRip before I can say I've put all these apps through the ringer.

i have a couple of .bat with my most used switches, if i want other switches i call the exe only, which i assume is what you meant by "command shell" even tho calling a bat is actually also command shell.

@unmei
The thing you use is "batch, script", .bat means .batch

im a big fan of megui, i used it purely for my x264 stuff (pretty much all my dvd's are being converted for the psp). the bitrate calc, d2v creator and the avs creator mean it pretty much does all i need.

@sirber, that's what i voted.
My point was just, whether i open the CLI to type in something like "x264.exe -blah -blah" or "x264fast blah blah" doesnt make much of a difference. Well, except that i generally use less parameters with the batches than with the exe (that's what they are for after all ).

Both MeGUI should have been as one, since it's the same soft.
