K-Lite includes latest version, so you don't need to install it manually.

64-bit MPC-HC is stable and has been for a long time. Only the Xy filters had issues until recently.

AssFilterMod exists. But it doesn't support PGS and VobSub.

Nice, thank you for your work

Does this include the dark theme? I can't see it in the log, so I assume not yet.

The weird flickering artifact on the seek bar that I showed in my most recent post in this very thread is still occurring with the latest test build.

Is this something that's just inherent to how the dark theme is implemented and therefore a proper fix is not possible without flat-out disabling the dark theme altogether?

Thanks a lot for this. Happy to report that this build doesn't seem to ruffle Norton's feathers

It is not meant to be used together with custom themes or high contrast themes.

Im pretty shure its an issue with not having AERO enabled instead of having an custom Theme.. (of course if the custom theme is not made good then you will have problems also)
At least that is for the "flickering" issue he means in the seek bar.. (time stamp-Box)

hmmm, i also use Windows 7.
The only diff. is that you use an NON Aero Theme.
I also like the Classic style. But some Programms need to have Aero enabled or they dont function correctly..

So, what i did, was using an 3rd Party theme, that looks like a "classic" theme but has Aero enabled, without having any transparent sides or windows.. So the Style will look allmost the same but you have no more problems with some Programms..

It would be interessting if you could test that,,
Use a AERO Theme and see if that fixes the issue.
If yes, well, theres your answer..

in the mean time, ill test if I have this issue when using teh original "Classic" style without aero...

ill be right back..

EDIT:

Jup.. I have the same Problem you have.
So, ENABLE AERO and it will be fixed

Like i sayd, there are plenty nice 3rd party themes for windows 7 that look exactly like "classic" but have AERO enabled..

Hope that helped

Best Regards

EDIT:
Screens...

AERO ENABLED:

NO AERO:

By the way...
THX for the tip with aPNG..
ScreenToGif does support it Very nice....

As mentioned above, this happens even with the stock "Windows Classic" non-high contrast theme that is built into Windows 7 which is not a custom theme.

Such subtitles should work out-of-the-box. You must have done something wrong.

Options > Miscellaneous > Reset

It may contain multiple languages. You can see here: Menu > Play > Subtitles
