xvid scenecuts in h264

scenecut=60 rc-lookahead=80

sometimes scenecut 65 and/or lookahead 75 works for more stubborn content but some of the proper cut placements will be lost.

Did you have a question or was that just an observation?

Tested observation, I've been running it for 6-8 months. It doesn't work as reliably when lookahead threads =1, for 2 and 3 it works great.

I sought an answer about a year ago, lots of posts with the question but no answers, commercial removal software was way too spotty and temperamental.

I went to long batches of runs testing settings, found 50-70 scenecut kind of worked and fiddled with others till I found the lookahead affecting it. Plotted out a spread sheet ticking 1 or 0 for the cut points desired for 5 or 6 files, it was clear after 3 but did the remainder for verification and different content/formats.

I posted because of the numerous threads I found asking for such and it's been thoroughly tested.
