will read the suggestions, and maybe there will already be an agreement about if there should be skin support. Like I posted before, there should be a poll about it. |

Improvements I would like to see:
- better performance of VSFilter (vobsubs often use a lot of cpu power, no problems with srt) - Winamp style playlist - better error message for 'save image' function when an unsupported renderer is used - support for EVR renderer - more efficient way of reading the options from the .ini file - better support for DVD, so including deccs - better support for .asx - updating the QT and RealMedia APIs (if newer ones exist) - support for longer filenames of .mov files (current max is 63 chars) - better support for filenames of .rm files (now certain characters like '#' cause problems), similar problems exist for urls (e.g. '&' char) - More comprehensive file extension list - More detailed overview of the DS filters used during playback (filenames, version, etc) - Option to export this graph information to text (file/clipboard). Would be useful for helping people with problems. - Automatically exclude VSFilter from the graph when the internal sub renderer is enabled. Prevents n00bs from seeing double subs. - Fix crash when opening a 0 byte file.

Hello,
I've just release my own unofficial MPC modify for home theater usage. It include Vista EVR support, D3D fullscreen option to prevent tearing, improved open DVD dialog box, subtitles synchronisation mechanisme and PN31 remote control support. All explanations on my web site : http://tibrium.neuf.fr/ Enjoy |

@Casimir666
After some testing of your MPC version it looks good. EVR renderer tears a lot in XP (maybe crappy renderer, using forceware 158.22/6800GS), EVR renderer displays nothing if RGB colour space is forced (YUY2 and YV12 are ok), osd looks great, the VMR Colour controls are a good add on too. I don't see me using this player build though, because I use Haali renderer (no osd support), no much use for the other extras, just done a light test on the player, I like drevil's build better because of the patches. Anyway you should add the patches used in drevil's build to enhance the player even more like drevil_xxl said. Good work anyway. |

Nice changes!
Here are the patches used by drevil_xxl: http://www.zshare.net/download/guliv...tches-rar.html The only one I think is missing is a patch to add VP6 support (which is very useful for playing .flv files). PM him for it. Could you make available for us the patches for your modifications? Preferably a separate patch for each mod.

@clsid
It will be difficult to make patchs files because there is quite much files modified. But almost all my changes are located in main project (mplayerc), and i didn't make any changes in build in filters. Did anybody knows where i can find AP4 library, i have remove mp4splitter because i was unable to compile it? Edit : Oups i haven't seems i should unzip lib and apply Gabest patch. It's ok now Last edited by Casimir666; 6th May 2007 at 17:25. |

About interface.
There is no need for skin support or some ultra cool look interface. But I think MPC need a bit different look for 2 reasons: 1) Look less MS mplayer2 like. 2) Add some features like double size buttons for high resolutions. |

Yeah thats along the lines of what I mean! Along with the aforementioned name change to just 'MPC Player' which is not contradictory as MPC is just a name and no longer an acronym!, and version numbering change, which could even start with 1!

I've just uploaded v1.0.6.0 on SourceForge : include all drevil_xxl patches, activation of VP62 and Mpeg4 splitter internal filters.
About "ffdshow queueing" patches i have done it manually because of my previous modifications : can someone tell me if it's working or not ? Casimir666 |

Hi Casimir666,
Greetings and congratulations to you on the excellent piece of work. EVR works wonderfully on Xp now, so you can the vista next to it. It would be great to get tearing test workihng with EVR, as reclock does not seem to function with the new renderer. Once again, well done. best regards. |
