Black crush with HDR but correct colors in SDR
EDIT: Fixed using 2 different madvr profiles for HDR and SDR videos
Hello! I am having black crush and losing details in dark scenes when playing HDR videos when using PC level bit depth (0-255) in madVR settings. The colors look perfectly correct when using TV-level bit depth (15-235) but when I play SDR videos at 15-235, blacks become grey instead. I use MPC-BE as my video player and my monitor is calibrated and it has built in HDR image processing so it doesn't need calibration in HDR mode. Is there a fix for this so I don't have to switch between PC level and TV level bit depth whenever I'm playing SDR and HDR videos/movies? Last edited by Jonny93; 22nd February 2021 at 06:10. |
