My question is : Ripbot can do that operation without encoding again ??? Does it have such a function that could be used separatelly ??

Or putting another way : which is the mechanism by which Ripbot makes adaptation and decrypt .sup files ?
If I wanna use mkvmerge.exe to attach .sup files I need first to fix them using suprip soft...
Can I do same thing , as Ripbot ????
can you tell me HOW can I do that ???

Thanks !
Probably using BDSup2Sub which is located in RipBot's tools folder.
Not 100% sure though.

Thats what I asked for earlier. There are many operations user requires to execute without re-encoding (as-is).

Well, benjyv, you can try "Urusoft Subtitle workshop" for editing / conversion of subtitle files and / or try remuxing using YAMB if you wanna keep the source subtitle format (drag-drop all the resources you wanna include, if it is supported : YAMB will accept).

Is there any hope in getting add a folder -functionality? Adding hundreds of files, all having the same source characteristics and same output settings one-by-one is tedious.

HI Atak !!

I've already asked you , but I need to ask again 'cuz I didn't get any answer :

Where is the option for changing B-Pyramid - Normal. Now is setted only b-pyramid none!!

Also I must change some other settings like : Adaptive Quantizers strength , M.E. Range , M.E. Algorithm , Psy-RD strength , a.s.o.

If you wanna talk about details of these parameters ,I'm waiting a PM from you or a discussion here !!

Hi

I don't know how to use custom video bit rate for 2 pass encoding.
Is there way for that?

Just enter the desired bitrate in the 'kbps' box, and make sure that the 'lock size' box is unchecked.

Use the Commandline, Ripbot has always allowed use of custom commandlines ....

Probably explains why no answer, it's not really worth stating as you obviously haven't tried it ....

Atak, a feature request: in the audio conversion options for .mkv, can you provide an option for converting DTS 1.5mbps streams to legacy DTS 754kbps? That cuts the file size by half--1.5mbps stream can sometimes seem unnecessary for some soundtracks--while still keeping a DTS track. 640kbps ac3 is a perfectly good alternative, but 754kbps DTS would also be a nice option to have, and with EAC3 already in the tools perhaps this, I hope, wouldn't be too difficult to implement.

This does not make sense because DTS 768 kbps would sound worse than AC3 448 kbps. According to tests DTS 1,5Mbps sounds as good as AC3 640kbps if encoded from lossless format. Also don't forget that re-encoding lossy format to another lossy will cause futher degradation in quality.

Atak,

Is there any way to make the RipBot load this script, or the only way is to load the avs script as input a video?

"DirectShowSource("D:\BLU_RAY\A_AVENTURA_PELOS_RECIFES_DE_CO\BDMV\STREAM\00000.m2ts")
MCTemporalDenoise(settings="medium" ,gpu=TRUE)"

yeah...if you're lookin to save space by doing something with a dts 1.5mbps track...you should encode to AC3 640. DTS 768 would be dumb
if you really feel you need a 768kbps track you can do so with surcode

How about new profiles?
"[DXVA] Highest Q 720p"
"[DXVA] Highest Q 1080p"

It works on my Ati HD-3870. Can u test it out with older cards and newest driver if it plays in MPC-HC DXVA mode.

720p code line:
--level 4.1 --vbv-bufsize 50000 --vbv-maxrate 50000 --filter 0,0 --ref 9 --bframes 16 --b-adapt 2 --b-pyramid none --subme 10 --aq-mode 1 --trellis 2 --partitions all --me tesa --keyint 300 --min-keyint 30 --merange 40

1080p code line:
--level 4.1 --vbv-bufsize 50000 --vbv-maxrate 50000 --filter 0,0 --ref 4 --bframes 16 --b-adapt 2 --b-pyramid none --subme 10 --aq-mode 1 --trellis 2 --partitions all --me tesa --keyint 300 --min-keyint 30 --merange 60

How can I change some other settings like : Adaptive Quantizers strength , M.E. Range , M.E. Algorithm , Psy-RD strength , a.s.o. ????

How can I attach a .sup file ( after demuxing it , of course) to a movie , without re-encoding ???

I forgot to select it in the begining

Hope this time will answer somebody who REALLY knows the true answers !!! ;-)

@hopstiii

Thanks but here we're talking about Ripbot and its specific settings

Following your advice I must give up to Ripbot and use classical MeGui...I know very well to use MeGui and do settings there..

Here is the issue ,on Ripbot ;-)

Thank you for RipBot264!
Discovered two errors in RipBot264.
1. Not correct expose aspect ratio (720x480-704x480)
Source 720x480.avs (1.5 = 15:10) -> 720x480 (1.77 = 16:9)
Source 712x480.avs (1.5 = 15:10) -> 712x480 (1.5 = 15:10) OK!
Source 704x480.avs (1.5 = 15:10) -> 704x480 (1.77 = 16:9)

2. Not correct determine the fps H264 in avi.
If the source x264.avi (x264 23.976fps), RipBot264 defines 25fps.
If the source Xvid.avi (Xvid 23.976fps), RipBot264 determine correctly 23.976fps. OK!
Sorry for my English (Google Translate)

No need,
they are 2 different programs for different tasks.
Both programs are very good for what they do.

Sure just mux would be awesome feature in RipBot264.

Just remembering ... http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?...postcount=9466
I have done some encoding of DVD, and I can say that the tool PgcDemux was primordial to the success of all.
Without making the demux by PgcDemux or DVD Shrink (Re-author) is impossible to succeed at all.

B-Pyramid - Normal.
Code:
      --b-pyramid <string> Keep some B-frames as references [normal]
                                  - none: Disabled
                                  - strict: Strictly hierarchical pyramid
                                  - normal: Non-strict (not Blu-ray compatible)
Adaptive Quantizers strength
Code:
      --aq-strength <float> Reduces blocking and blurring in flat and
                              textured areas. [1.0]
M.E. Range
Code:
      --merange <integer> Maximum motion vector search range [40 for 720p, 60 for 1080p]
M.E. Algorithm
Code:
      --me <string> Integer pixel motion estimation method ["hex"]
                                  - dia: diamond search, radius 1 (fast)
                                  - hex: hexagonal search, radius 2
                                  - umh: uneven multi-hexagon search
                                  - esa: exhaustive search
                                  - tesa: hadamard exhaustive search (slow)
Psy-RD strength
Code:
      --psy-rd Strength of psychovisual optimization ["1.0:0.0"]
                                  #1: RD (requires subme>=6)
                                  #2: Trellis (requires trellis, experimental)
Example:
--b-pyramid strict --aq-strength 0 --merange 60 --me umh --psy-rd 1

That will go in code box.
