Recommended settings for Potplayer for 2x speed & 1080p films?
Hello Pros
I'm a noob. Anybody link to or recommend the best settings for... scenario A: - watching 1080p video tutorials smoothly at 2x speed, ideally not dropping frames scenario B: - watching 10GB+ 1080p blueray rips films. where I want the max quality. I'm happy to have exclusive fullscreen video mode (whatever its called), assuming that helps. I have a i7 Windows laptop and no dedicated graphics. I assume enabling hardware acceleration helps. Or maybe potplayer isn't the best for this?! If not, what do you guys recommend. Cheers |

I just made a quick test and I can easily watch a 1080p video with 3x speed with no dropped frames. No special settings. It says it uses the "Native D3D9 DXVA Decoder" (Video renderer is set to auto). I would try different video renderer and see wich one works best for you.
Right click -> Video -> Video renderer
