That's the swiftech. A thermochill is far and away better rad, but I had never tried a Swifty so I gave it a shot on this build. Allows better spacing for cable/tubing runs since it's thinner. Much dirtier then any thermochill I have had, required numerous flushings.

Gray already asked above, but what are you running there?

@blue_misfit - thanks... for the data dude!

To everyone else - blue_misfit ran the "new" version of the benchmark that is available publicly now!

There are two major changes:

1) CPU-Z outputs the hardware details automatically and the batch file greps out what I need so you don't have to manually provide me with details (see the report in blue's post above for a sample).

2) I included a newer version of x264 that is a bit faster than the version that was included back in the first part of March when the benchmark launched. I'll ALWAYS keep that original version so you can compare back to historical data, after all, the magnitude of the data isn't that important to see which system is faster than another, but it is kinda cool to see the speed increases as the software matures.

Quads tend to run 9-10 % faster with the new version.
Single core chips are anywhere from 5-15 % faster. I'll be sure to select some representative examples (AMD/Intel Quads, Duals, singles, etc.) and highlight them in the excel spreadsheet I've been maintaining and that is freely available at the techarp website.

Here are the comparative data for a Q6600 and Q9300 for now:


As I said, about 9-10 % faster.

Could be something to report to the x264 devs. I think it has something to do with threading and determinancy.
