Avidemux: Can't Add Audio File

I tried adding a FLAC audio file to a H.264 video on Avidemux, but I keep running into an error saying I can't add it. What should I do to fix it?

What container are you using? (Perhaps the software is fussy.)

All right. I'll try it today with similar formats and see what happens.

I tried opening an MKV with H.264 video and FLAC audio. It opened and successfully muxed as a new file.

I'm not too familiar with Avidemux but I don't think one can add audio tracks from the outside.

You could do what you need in Avidemux, then use MKVToolNix. Final muxing with MKVToolNix, or mkvmerge, is the recommended approach in any event.

What version of Avidemux did you use?
