Seeding

Hi,
I'm pretty much new to the whole movie downloading process. It's been a month or so since my first attempt and I'm getting used to the terms, methods. I just have one thing I'd like to ask any of you who know more about this than I do, and it's in regards to "Seeding":
Once a video (movie) file has completed its download, I've become a "seeder"----as long as I don't delete the file, of course. I'm just wondering....If other peers out there are uploading files from me, this affects my personal bandwidth, right? I have a monthly limit on my bandwidth, so this is of some concern....
