virtualdub capture choppy preview and crash with lagarith codec (ok wih huffyuv)

I have a SAA713X based card, I use virtualdub to capture via VFW at PAL 720x576x50i YUY2 from VHS source.
When the VHS tape is in play mode, the vdub preview windows is very choppy at around 10 fps instead of 25 (audio is ok), but as soon as I click on the capture button with huffyuv compression, it plays at 25fps and captures ok without losing frames.
When I select Lagarith, as soon as I clic on capture, it appears the crash window, but vdub is still open, I can click again on capture and again I receive the crash window (crashinfo.txt attached).
I tried all the settings, and used 32 and 64 bit versions of vdub 1.9.11 and 1.10.1 with the same results...
I have Windows 7 x64 SP1.

Update: If I use YV12 compression in lagarith, it works OK. I can live with that because my final destination is H.264 but it could harm the work of QTGMC deinterlacer?
