For MPC-BE after r6606, you can specify the path to "yt-dlp.exe" in "App Paths" subkey.

for current user
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\yt-dlp.exe]
@="C:\\Utils\\yt-dlp\\yt-dlp.exe"
for all users
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\yt-dlp.exe]
@="C:\\Utils\\yt-dlp\\yt-dlp.exe"

Save it to a .cmd file and run it as an administrator in the same folder as yt-dlp.exe.
Code:
Reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\yt-dlp.exe" /ve /t REG_SZ /d "%~dp0yt-dlp.exe" /f

Thanks @v0lt, @Aleksoid1978

What should we do for MPC-BE to open it with yt-dlp and start recording a live stream we watched? Is it possible to make an arrangement to record stream?

I do not know if it is possible to do this. In any case, now nothing is planned.

Starting from version 1.6.0.6646 the player cannot work on Windows Vista. This happened after updating the dav1d decoder. The reason is the use of the GetThreadGroupAffinity function in commit 9636af88.

I am having a problem with a specific Matroska file extracted from my DVD, with help from MAKEMKV.

This is the only file that while it's playing in MPC-BE it wobbles in a frenzy manner... you can't watch at all.

I extracted 1 minute of it using MKVTOOLNIX.

The funny thing is that if I use MPC-HC that same MKV is 100% fine. What is going on?

There is a problem with processing "3:2 pull down".

I don’t confirm. The MPC-HC 1.9.16.51 has the same problem.

I noticed if we enable MPC Video Renderer the problem repeats with MPC-HC.

https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.p...64#post1952164

I did what the above link says to make it possible to watch 4K content with no GPU at the moment. So this file can be played fine with enhanced video renderer (custom presenter).

Does anyone have this problem with MPC-BE and ESET Internet Security in Windows 7 x86?

@Perenista
I ran some tests for DVD-Video with "Scan order: 2:3 Pulldown":
DVD ~ 23,976p
VOB ~ 23.976p
mkvmerge v62.0.0 ~ 23.976p
mkvmerge v8.3.0 ~ 23.976p
As a result, my video plays correctly. Now I don't know what the problem is with your video.

MediaInfo for VTS_03_1.VOB

Looks like corruption. Reinstall ESET and check your file system and hardware.

I'm trying to switch from MPC-HC, to MPC-BE. All of my movies bitstreamed perfectly with MPC-HC, but for some reason, everything is showing PCM when I try MPC-BE. Sould we use internal or external filters with BE? What audio renderer do I choose from the drop-down box, my Denon receiver?

@LenniePaz
You need to set up MPC-BE in much the same way as you did in MPC-HC + LAV.
Options > Internal filters > Audio decoders > Audio decoder configuration > Pass-through (S/PDIF, HDMI)

1 - Enable bitstream in internal Audio Decoder.
