5.1 Audio on a SVCD

I do SVCD's out of DVD Ripps. I have a very good picture-quality but unfortunately my Sound is only Stereo (Dolby Surround Downmix)

I wonder how it is possible to keep the 5.1 Sound in my SVCD's?

Does anyone know a method how I can get 5.1 Sound in my SVCD's? I ripp with Smartripper, then I prepare Audio and Video with DVD2AVI and then I do the SVCD with TMPEC.

Thanks for every hint

What about getting Dolby Digital 5.1 on a regular VCD? Is that possible? I asked this last night but it doesn't seem to be here anymore. I have searched throughout this forum and have yet to find any explanation of this.
