Cropping can change the aspect ratio. That's inherent in the nature of cropping. But, as opposed to changing the aspect ratio via resizing, cropping does
not deform the content.

MeGUI considers as "error" here. And with respect to what. Maybe you should make that clear first...

With cropping you are
removing pixels, so it actually becomes
easier to encode (at the same bitrate), which should result in
better quality (if it makes a difference at all).
