It plays DivX, Xvid, DivX HD (has a logo at the back), H.264, MPEG2, MPEG1, DVD, VCD, AVCHD, Blu-Ray (3D)... so far, everything I threw at it has been played with no problem. Trust me

It also has DLNA, which I use to stream video files from my server to it, and it displays them on my TV through HDMI

I don't think it's that old, since it offers Cinavia and Cinavia was made mandatory since a year ago or so. But it could also be that Cinavia was introduced to it via the updates I did. I'm not sure
