I got it working! YAY!
Used a different approach, and after lot of trail & error it's now working!
Test result.
I used easySUP for subtitles, there's a 24 fps bug in it which can be fixed with an hex editor.
Agreed on the things you mentioned.
The old multiAVCHD thread is not much of a help these days.

multiAVCHD is a bit finicky with paths, and this, you have to launch as admin.
