Never done logo removal, but I do know that the mask should be black and white. Here is my lame attempt, I recommend using
rm_logo(). Upload the mask as Black&White and convert it to PNG, most image hosting sites will take it, because of the reduced file size.

Your next step is to make a note of the frame ranges where the logo exists. Once you do that then you can use rm_logo(). here is a logo removal example using rm_logo().
