Virtualdub has confirmed sync issues by default. The only way I could get it to work was capture->timing->uncheck the first two items.
I wrote a test suite to generate and decode custom timecode, and verified that vdub does not work by default.
As for a lossless codec, the recommendation for huffyuv is very out of date, on a good system I'd use ffv1 from ffdshow. I tested nearly all lossless codecs in another thread as well.
I still don't know a program that can record cc as well.
