Just use the BTWinCap drivers with your BT878 card! Do a search for the home page. If you need a DirectShow based capture app, look into VirtualDub. You're on your way.

Not on most systems, you can't. However, most can go the other way, convererting 2/0 mono to 1/0, by turning on the Pro Logic mode.

It's personal choice. I like to save the audio bitrate, and use 1/0. Others like the wider sound of mono 2/0.
