Picture quality with Mpeg-IV isn't very good, I have a Mediatek GE and that offers better PQ.

That's all very good, but what's it like in-use? Does it have lip sync problems compared to my MTK 1389 GE player with certain Mpeg-IV files? Will it crash on some original DVD-Video discs also?

HTPC, or that elusive DVD player. For file compatiblity standalone DVD players haven't reached the level of computers yet, they're a bit quirky with certain files, or just don't support everything....

QQ, it could also be auto-switching widescreen mode (since you're using SCART, which has widescreen signal switch) change your TV ratio from AUTO to manual aspect modes (wide, 4:3, stretch etc)

That's nothing. The Proceed PMDT costs £5500. You've also got the Tag DVD32R at £4000, also upgrades such as progressive scanning.

Not too sure what is the world's currently most expensive DVD...
