View Full Version : How to reapply a more powerful IT method?

I've ran Inverse Telecine via Gordian Knot for my animes and it got rid of a lot of those scan lines or comb lines I believe they're called during motion but not all of them. Is there another more powerful version I can use of the method or any way to attack those individual areas with another dose of IT? I followed the Gordian Knot guide for XviD if that makes any difference.. was reading about Force Film and how that may have to do with the lines. Please share your thoughts and thank you.

By the way this is the script I'm using if it will help:

LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\dgdecode.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\decomb.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\KernelDeInt.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\UnDot.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\dgbob.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\Convolution3d.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\FluxSmooth.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\TomsMoComp.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\VSFilter.dll")
#LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\SimpleResize.dll")

Hi-

That just shows the 3 .dlls that are used, and nothing about the Telecide/Decimate settings used elsewhere in your script. I assume you're using them at the default GKnot settings. If you read the Decomb Reference Manual, you'll find a host of settings you can adjust to perhaps fine tune the IVTC. At least one I know of is specifically for anime.

There are also other IVTCs, such as SmartDecimate and TIVTC, that you can try.
