@omare

Welcome to the forum!

Please read and follow forum rules, specifically, rule 9: use a proper thread title.:)
You will probably receive more help if you do. Use something like, "Weird Rebuilder undersizing problem" as a thread title. Most people don't respond to vague title threads.
You can edit the title thread and I suggest you do.

That being said, if you read the help file with RB there is a section in the Menu and Setting/Hidden Settings that will show you how to adjust the TargetSector output in the .ini. Although, jdobbs doesn't recommend people adjust it (many times they screw it up then blame DVD-RB) it is available if you know what you are doing.

Regards,:)

P.S. What is the name of the movie, someone else may know some information about a particular difficult movie?

@omare
First I wouln't say a 3.99 G output means "dvd-reb failing", is just an 8% undersize.
Second, your post is very vague regarding what you do with RB (version, settings, encoder, DVD title, region)
Third: you neither say what do you do with "the big 3", and why, if you use it, needed RB afterwards

Last: It is very common to have sources with lot of audio and subs as Unreferenced. Mostly they are null size. I suggest you to look at the source with Shrink, to verify the size of them

did a movie, and i got 3.99gig.

the problem come from complicated movies to shrink, with many files...
if you have a DVD with only the movie to shrink, it will comeout at around 4.25 gig.
