I was wondering if there was a way to use a different version of lame with autogk (preferably the new 3.97 beta 1), and/or a way to change the commandline options (hopefully to -V 5 --athaa-sensitivity 1 if i'm still using 3.96.1, or -V 5 --vbr-new if i can switch it to the new beta). This would allow for a fully vbr distribution to be used, rathar than an abr one, providing better quality audio, and since bitrate spikes are no issue to me, no drawbacks.

You can replace your version of LAME overwriting the current V3.96.1 one inside C:\Program Files\AutoGK\tools\lame (or whatever else is your path). It will work fine. Same applies to any of the other tools bundled with AutoGK - DGMPGDec, VirtualDubMod etc. But you cannot change the LAME commandline at the moment.

hmmm... that was my guess. does anyone know if it is planned for a future version. I think being able to adjust the commandline options would be a great feature for the "hidden options" page. just my opinion though. regardless, i love autogk, it is a great and easy app.

Anyone figured out a way to tweak the LAME command line yet? This is definitely something that should have been put into advanced/hidden options long ago.
