60hz Nintendo Gamecube footage to DVD

I want to make a DVD of selected highlights of FMV from the Legend of Zelda games. However, the only copies I have of earlier games (Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask) are on Gamecube format in 60hz screenformat. I can get the footage shown properly if connected through my VCR but the picture comes out all rubbish if recorded and if connected through my DVD recorder, I get it raised a bit so the picture is against the top of the screen with a few lines showing at teh bottom of the screen.

Does anyone know of any way this can be corrected so I can get a good picture?
