mpeg2 transport streams

Is there another reliable way to save DVD mpeg2 streams (muxed), other than DVD the format. (not having .ifo, .vob, .bup files)

If they contain one video stream and one audio stream, simply save them as .MPG (In this case this would be MPEG2)...

What if there are more streams? How could I save those too or do I need to remove them, and how can they be removed with doing anything to the video stream.
