I couldn't find any filter for Virtualdub to change the trebble and bass of the audio in an avi by tweaking its equalizer. So do you know a filter or another way to do this ?

I have never heard about any filter performing that.
I suggest you to extract the audio track from the file, edit it with dedicated software, than remuxing it.
You can find a lot of free software to do that, ie Audacity (works with many formats)
Just download it here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I think it is better first to save wav, and then to open it in some program like Sound Forge. This equilazer is much better then any you can find for v/dub. Anyway most users recommended to separately edit audio & video; video in v/dub, and audio in some program made only for audio processing.

Sorry if I had some mistake in my English

I agree with dexy, I'm one of those and usually the quality is better.
By the way, if you have already the compressed audio, you can edit it without recoverting to wav, because you would simply get an uncompressed version of the mp3 (ie) file, which of couse has already lost parts of info..
