Did you rip it using DVD Decrypter last version 3.5.4.0, or better still using AnyDVD along with DVD Decrypter ?
You could try installing AnyDVD and try again as AnyDVD removes protection on-the-fly, so should let virtually any software read protected video
It works with CloneDVD who are the same people who do AnyDVD, so 'should' work with DVD-RB as well

That could only happen if the source is corrupted or the wasn't deencrypted properly.

unless you are in one of very few countries, this is illegal, and violates forum rules.
assuming it is okay:
run the image through shrink with no compression on entire disk (oversized), then run through rebuilder

Hi,
First reply in forum for me. I have had the same problem, may be r/t RBloader perhaps.
Is RBloader installed in your RB file? I had tried to copy backup straight from disc and got (almost) same error message. The title on the pop-up stated "RB Pro error" tho. Used DVD Dec to rip files, no problem.

Hi, Grumpy. Welcome to the forum.
I would suggest you try ripping the disc with DVD Decrypter -- if you then get the same error, you know it wasn't RBLoader... But there are very few things that will cause this error other than an unencrypted disc.
Thanks...

I'm back.
It's been a while since I've posted, but had to reply again. I got RBLoader working and backed up a DVD (mine) straight from the disc. My system crashed a few days ago when I used a tool to remove some TV tuner card drivers from my system. It also removed or scrambled my video and sound card drivers. I'm running off at the mouth again, sorry. Anyway got it running again after reinstall of missing/corrupted drivers and working fine. Just tried RBLoader with DVD43 free. Copied the DVD to ISO without any problems. Works fine on my virtual drive. If anyone else having same problems they might want to try the DVD43 free, thats right it is a free program. Look out for another similar website that will try to sell it to you with their program.
Also may have had something to do with my corrupted drivers, too. As I have said before, I'm no programmer or tech person, just a dumb user.

please tell me how exaxtly did you manage I was working happily with RB pro and RBLoader but from the moment I updated to RB pro version 1.02 I've got the illegal gop message which suggest that it loads RB but not the decripter.
I4ve tryed everything to make RBLoader work again; I have any dvd and free region etc but noothing will work other than decripting before RB which obviously it's no longer "one cick" as you have to wait for the decripting

Well, problem solved I downloaded dvd 43 and RB p worked without RBLoader.
It seems that for misterious reasons RBLoader stopped working but it is still in the list of addons of RBPro. Is it obsolete now? and why the instructions of RBPro don't say that you can use one of those programs (anydvd,dvd43...etc and copy direct from the disk?

RBLoader still works with Freeware Releases (I think :D)

Because that's not a good thing to do... for two reasons:
1st Your drive will get damaged faster
2nd You can get reading errors as the drive and disc's temperature rises (caused by the continuous access during long periods of time).

3. It is a LOT slower than a backup that was first ripped to disc.

all right but...i've been copying between two and three dvd a week for three years without the drive been damaged; it will anyway become obsolete before been damaged ,a lot slower perhaps, but you put the disk in and go to sleep, in the morning is done... finally why not saying it in the instructions with the proviso that is not the preferred method because 1,2,and 3.
As it is I did not realised that for a long time it was not RBLoader that was doing the "really one click" magic but ANY DVD installed in my drive. I desistalled it...and you could image the rest...many days wondering...thanks anyway for your onderful program
