Whenever I am trying to run autogk on a foreign movie and choose to add subtitles I always get an error because it cannot find the IDX file. I have uninstalled all of AutoGK and reinstalled a couple times and tried it on different movies. I've tried v1.96, v2.16, and v2.17 and they all have the same problem.
Any one have any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks!
BTW, I did search and determined from my searching that VOBSUB creates the IDX file but that's about as far as I got. Also, this problem is not on the same computer as my last problem.

I suggest posting (either paste or link, rather than attachment) your log file as it may provide some pointers for the experts to help. Otherwise it's a real guessing game.

Well, vobsub definitely fails... Can you manually index subs with VobSub?

I do not know how to go about doing that... I was trying to figure it out though. Perhaps you could explain the process to me?

Start->Programs->VobSub->VobSub Configure, open IFO file, select streams, index...

I have seen this before, and yes vobsub rip created the idx/sub files, but the vobsub version that comes with AutoGK (2.23 ?) didn't show them. I had to install vsfilter.2.36.
Strange, for on the DVD I had there were around 10 subs, around half of them worked normally

What does VSFilter have to do with indexing subs? Current issue is that IDX file is not created.

Isn't it vsfilter (directvobsub) the tool to display subtitles? Sorry if I was unclear but I meant that vobsub 2.23 was not able to display / show the subtitles ripped with vobsub rip using maplyerc. Vsfilter did.

Again - it has nothing to do with problem unL33T is having. Do you understand the difference between "display subs" and "create IDX sub file"?

Yes, I do. Probably he is not having the same problem as mine but it is similar, I think.
My idx/sub files were not created too, vobsub rip created them.
Displaying subs is a different issue, I know and I mentioned this to share information (hopefully you don't mind) in case he faces the same problem later.
