No data. Check your pids?

well im here trying to backup a tv series dvd(not getting into detail). And it has 5 episodes on it....

took me like a hour and a half just to get the vobs and audio right. Stinking video put all the episodes in the same vob string...

but anyways got it to work...

on episode one, i combined the vobs using vstrip, tested it and was perfect no hicups no audio cracking etc...

now on to dgindex, episode one worked fine, got my ac3 file and my synth script etc...

i go to do the same for episode two and during the dgindex, preview/play i get the "no data. check your pids." error..

pissed me off, tried using vdub, and got a file avi size three times the original file size!!!

so i went into the program avi.net, its like my savior when gnot or others take a crap or just doesnt work for me...

load up avi.net, and it loads up dgindex to do what i was trying to and it gets me my script ac3 file etc...

why did avi.net work and not dgindex directly???

help is appreciated, for i like customizing my options through vdub/gnot etc, avi.net is more like set and go (although great quality yes)

Chop the first part of the VOB that fails using ChopperXP (or binary editor of your choice) and upload it to my FTP server. Then PM me telling me the filename. Up to several hundred MBytes is fine.

well there is two vobs...the beginning vob which is 1gb and the last which his 230MB...

i combined them using vstrip, to get a 1.3GB vob...and ive used the same method for the other 4 episodes with no problem except for this one...

although avi.net seemed not to care and went on to make the avi

is it a fluke or is dgindex looking for a file that isnt there?

i am only trying to index one vob file not multiple ones

Why are you combining the VOBs using vstrip? Just load both the VOBs into DGIndex. What happens if you do that?

Anyway, that message you get is generated after parsing the very beginning of the combined VOB, so again, I ask, please upload the first part of the combined VOB as I requested in my first post if you want me to fix it for you.
