Field order issue?

Hi I used DVD2SVCD to encode 2 mpeg files from 2 DVD's. One of them had the field order incorrect (I just realized that after author the DVD). I had to demux the files, restream them and mux again, this fixed the problem.

Do I always need to check the field order before going to author? I'm using CCE 2.5 SP.

Well, it's been years since I was really into making SVCDs, but when I used to use DVD2SVCD, I only had this happen to me once on a rip I did of a PAL DVD I bought on vacation in Europe. I also used CCE 2.5. I just wanted a SVCD to use as a test disc with PAL video, so I didn't really care too much that it wasn't perfect as the point was to use the disc to see if a DVD player could play SVCD PAL at all or not. I would say in most cases it guesses right on field order, but not 100% of the time.
