Please help! I need bitstreams.

Will someone please tell me how to make yuv 4:2:0 bitstreams? All I've found so far are how to turn them into other formats. Please keep it as simple as possible. I'm new to this.

Rip a DVD and serve the video via DGDecode. You'll get YV12, which is YUV 4:2:0. Then encode to Xvid (for example) using Fast Recompress in VirtualDub. That pipeline gives you YV12 all the way from DVD to XviD file.
