Hi all,
I'm caming from Italian Doom9 forum.I'm writing a little utility called "Dvd COPy Protector" to protect my personal dvd from illegal copy.
This software is "under construction" (Beta 6 Version).I need to test this utility "about" the compatibility with the home player.
I make a very little DVD ISO IMAGE where I put some protections .I attach this image (compress Rar).
If someone would write this little image on dvd+rw with ISO WRITE of Dvd Decrypter e test on home player I'm very happy.
If the dvd result is O.k. the player show a message on "white page" as:

.........Dvd COPY PROTECTOR DVD TEST

...............by Junior73

...........Try to copy this dvd....

Is a still dvd maked with reauthor of Shrink.I leave a way to copy this dvd with Dvddecrypter (to respect the last really dvd ripper!!!).
Try to open this dvd with normal software as Dvd Shrink Dvd FAb Clone dvd
Dvd One etc....

Bye and sorry for my English!!!

How is the project?
Can you explain how does it work?

@Junior73Italy

Have you checked to see if your protection scheme can foil the RipIt4Me "package"? It's currently the prevalent DVD ripping software...

I keep getting an error when mounting saying the image is corrupted.

It's good work by Junior - beautiful corruption; I can't believe it would play!!!

Took me about an hour to unravel the lot.

EDIT: BY the way, strangely enough, I just figured out that you can decrypt the VOB alone (the MicroUDF filesystem is intact even though ISO9660 is non-existent) and use Ifoedit to create beautiful clean IFOs around it :) A learning experience, anyway - and Junior was way ahead of his time.

I just don't think that 'Junior73' will still monitor this thread after more than 1 1/2 year, especially since nobody cared to post a reply at that time ...

There were some replies at that time:

He was last seen active at 10th Feb 2006 so its more than a year with no e-mail contact. Only the admin can contact him now!!! or probably check the Italian Doom9 forum, if you someone knows Italian.

I have just sent him a PM. Depending on his settings he may or may not get an email telling him about it.

This 'trick' worked great at another forum.

I know Italian!
And - hem... - I know his personal e-mail...

However I don't know if the mailbox is still active or not: it seems that the messages posted by Junior73 on the Italian forum are as old as the ones here...

I will check tomorrow how things are going on, asking by e-mail...

Cheers,
SD

Edit 31-03-2007. Checked. No answers so far...

Edit 03-04-2007. I got a very nice answer from Junior73! He is alive & kicking, but very busy with his work and hobbies...
Maybe in the future he will give some further news on the subject. For the moment I just gave to him a pinpoint to the present thread...
