I have been using dvd decrypter to decrypt the movie then i run it through ifo edit. I know how to use IFO edit to take out the copyright notice and menu transition. Then i run it through dvd shrink to take out the extra audio and subtitles. The problem is that i want to remove the beginning scene with the fox logo and the credits without removing the menus. I was wondering how i could do that? as a side note i tried chopper xp and that worked for the beginning logo but it would not work for the last vob with the credits. I was wondering if there is a better way? Also when i used chopper xp the movie freezes when i play it in windows media player. Is there a way to correct this?

That's because, unless something has changed recently, "ChopperXP" is a limited function program that, "which can extract selected portions of VideoCD,Mpg,or Vob files." (Per the documentation). It does nothing in the way of modifying .IFO files to reflect the modifcation(s) you've made to the .VOB(s)...

hi playstation_1987 and welcome to the forum!
you have not stated whether you are performing a 'movie-only' back-up or a full back-up.
if you are doing a movie-only back-up you can use dvd shrink in re-author mode to cut out any unwanted intos/credits etc.
you can find a guide for this here:
DVD Shrink v3.1: "Re-author" intermediate guide (http://www.dvdshrink.info/reauthor_intermediate.php)
be warned however that you will not retain any menus in this process.
to create a full back-up and also remove intors and credits, would involve a lot more work, and a fair degree of competency with a dvd authoring program.

@jel
Hi!
Just wanted to point out that "playstation_1987" has specifically stated that he/she desires to retain the menu:
The problem is that i want to remove the beginning scene with the fox logo and the credits without removing the menus.
