Hello group, I put up 3 hours of video coverage from the consumer electronics show IFA in Berlin up at http://ifa2005.videocoverage.org
I use 1280x720 DivX at 4mbit/s, encoded with Extreme encoding mode, b-frames, resizing and de-interlacing filters built-in with divx6 pro, no psychovisual.. and 192kbit/s mp3. For all the videos there is also a standard definition version.
I filmed the whole thing with my new HDR-HC1 high definition Sony camera which I bought from Germany using http://preissuchmachine.de for a bit under 2000$.
All the videos you can download with BitTorrent, many of the videos on the page right now are quite okay seeded so I think you should be able to pick those videos that interest you or download the whole thing automatically using the rss torrent feed together with for example azureus..
Please pass the link to places where people would be interested! Cause the more people get to download the videos now, the faster downloads people will get.. I think.. Thanks!
There is for example an interview with a DivX representative, where I ask him about any h264 future DivX codec, stuff about xvid licensing, DivX HD certification, and they are releasing that new DivX ultra certification which means divx 6 features.. There also is an interesting interview with Nero Digital engineers about the beta version of a faster h264 decoder that works on normal single cpu at high definition..
