i'm sorry if this is the wrong place to put this
anyway, i'm trying to put some video on to dvd, but i edit it and filter it w vdubmod first. the video looks perfect in vdubmod in the output pane and i'll encode it and if i open it back up in vdubmod it still looks perfect. the problem i'm having is when i put it on dvd, or just open the file in windows media player or nero showtime it is very dark. i don't know what is going wrong and i've never had this problem before. help

It must be a graphic card setting of some sort.

Some (many?) DVD players have different viewing modes where they alter the colors in an effort to give you some sort of dark theater experience. Wmplayer can't play your DVD mpg2 on it's own, so perhaps the player files it is using are set up that way? What DVD players do you have installed, & how is the color set up in them? Have you checked the settings in both wmplayer and Showtime? Both have color controls.
