View Full Version : Mux .wma into .mkv?

Is there any way to mux a wma file (which I'm using because of its decent quality at low bitrates) into a .mkv container? I tried rewriting the header so it became a .wav and then used VirtualDubMod, but the resulting video had audio that "halted" every couple of seconds. I'm using Matroska because the video is encoded with x264 (.ogm would be fine too).

asf2mkv from Gabest Guliverkli project should do the trick.

Do you mean "asf2mkv" as in "Asf to Matroska Recorder -- asf2mkv recorder 1.01" from Guliverkli Sourceforge?
If so... Uh... How in the heck do you simply take the wma audio stream and stuff it into an MKV? I don't see a help file anywhere, either. Thanks!
PS: Yeah, old topic, but unless there's something else on the market... ;)

The easiest way to do that is via GraphEdit...
