I don't mean to crosspost, but I posted about a problem I was seeing in the AVC forum: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=99602

I don't really understand exactly where the splitter stops and the decoder starts, so I'm not sure if maybe what I'm seeing is a (Haali's 050802) splitter problem. In short (please follow the link for more details), I have a clip that blacks out for several seconds in the beginning, but if I stop and then play again the clip plays fine.

Sorry if this is ignorant, but could it be a splitter issue?

Thanks!

Could be. Please try a newer version first.

Until a couple of weeks ago the splitter started with a rather small buffer size, so if your frames exceeded that, the allocator properties needed to be changed, and it caused a decoder reset. This initial buffer size is larger now.

Boy I should have thought to post here first! I think you hit the nail on the head. I tried with the 050818 release and it had the same problem. I just got a fresh 050904 release and the problem is all gone. Thanks!!
