I was hoping to get more info on what to look for and when to use the LB 4:3 to 16:9 function. I freely admit I do not have the best knowledge of all the different film formats and the conditions they will look best on my little tv. I watch alot of normal 4:3 (1.33), widescreen (1.78) and Euro film (which I think can use 1.66) DVD's.
Recently I got a very nice (to me) 32" normal 4:3 tv upgrade that has a feature I would like to take advantage of if possible:
16:9 raster compression mode to enjoy movies in their original 16:9 format. This feature provides the truest, highest playback resolution possible for any anamorphic DVD by scanning only the video image and not the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.
Thanks,
Rick
- Also I want to give a big thanks to jdobbs for DVDRB and all those that helped make it what it has become. I have been a big fan since about the vers .3x if memory serves me correctly. The Pro v1 rc5.1 is an absolute joy to use.
