Can anyone point me to script for doing time compression / converting video to timelapse?
I've spent the last couple of hours going through lists of scripts, but haven't found anything yet. I'm either burned out from reading so much or they're not in what I've looked through thus far.
Thank you for any assistance.
Cheers.

Try looking at the SelectEvery function.

AviSource("yourfile.avi") #or whatever source you have
AssumeFPS(1000-10000) #or even higher
ChangeFPS(25) #or29.976 if your working with NTSC footage

Little sample shot with a simple Digital 8 camcorder and some patience (damn auto-everything on these consumer models! ;)

if you want a bit of all the frames in it, try:
temporalsoften(round(x/2.0),255,255,255,2) #replace "x" with your compression factor
selectevery(x,round(x/2.0)) #again, replace "x" with an actual number
