Using german "Video de Luxe 2005/2006 plus" I got some issues encoding my avi-Files to mpeg2. Some frames seem to be double in the vob-file.
I filmed with my digicam a scene from the monitor to give you a better feeling of it. The quality is not sooo good, but I think it's ok to understand my issue. Please watch the move of the curtain and the move of my son.

Regarding the encoding settings I considered various hints out of german forums, but so far, I didn't manage to avoid this phenomenon.
The original tape is filmed in PAL and the capturing to PC create no problems. The avi-file on the HD is ok, but the (already splitted) vob-file on HD after encoding has this kind of wobble. It is not over the complete film, just at some specific positions. Note, it's played from HD. When I tried to encode just this single scene (approx. 40s), the result is ok.
This morning I encode a second film and the result is the same: double frames at some specific positions.
Yesterday I also updated my via-drivers as this was a suggestion out of a german forum.
I'm using an american version of WinXP, but german programs which are adjusted on PAL. Is there maybe the problem? Is in WinXP maybe a reference regarding NTSC or PAL, which maybe create the problem?
Please let me know, if you have any hints. Thank you.
I'm using a Ligos mpeg2 encoder.
