Best decode mode

Hello.

I've read, a long time ago, in some kind of doc on DVD2AVI, that IEEE-1180
was the best way to decode. By best, i mean the most accurate.
The others were faster, but less acurate (even if the difference is not
realy easy to see, even impossible).

I want to know if it's always the same way ?
