DVD desktop image

1 week ago I bought an DVD player ELTA 8883MPG4.
Everything it's OK except the desktop image ("wellcome screen").
The vendor customized this image very bad with a lot of unusefull informations.
Does anybody know how I could change this "image" to the original ELTA screen.
I think is about to change the firmware to the original ELTA release.
It's correct?

I beleive you're right to assume the firmware has been modified.
I just took a look at the ELTA website and found the firmware of your player here (http://www.elta.de/english/download.asp?art=software&kat=DVD-Player/-Laufwerke&artnr=8883_MP4). This links to the page inside the website and there is also the software of the version 8883A MP4 (http://www.elta.de/english/download.asp?art=software&kat=DVD-Player/-Laufwerke&artnr=8883A_MP4) that could be your player too.

Make sure you have a read of the update instructions.
