Hello,
after playing some movies with MPC, I get a file called dxva_sig.txt in the same directory that the movie was in.
I know that dxva means DirectX Video Acceleration, but why it writes a file with just a "B" in it and can I turn it off?

I get this too, using WMP10. Mine has an "A" in it.

I get that, too.
There can be found a lot of discussions about it, but no one seems to know what's actually causing it...

I don't get this issue, but I just did a bit of Googling to see if I could get some help.
Amongst the several suggested solutions:
1) http://www.soeberg.net/dev/dxva_sig/
2) From here (http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t279694.html),
the new ATI Control Centre gives you the option "WMV Acceleration"
I unchecked the box and rebooted my PC and all is solved

Ok, alternative solution:
MPC > Display > Options... > Output > WMP7 (without rendering)
Then the file won't be created anymore using MPC.
