I'm looking for DVD authoring software that supports multiple audio tracks (e.g. director's commentary) and is either free or reasonably priced (<$100). Any recommendations? Sorry if I'm asking for the holy grail here, but I figured it was worth a try.
Support for 16:9 menu creation, DVD+R DL burning and DTS/AC3 import would be great perks, but I won't hold my breath. :)

Thanks! DVDLab Pro appears to have all the features I'm looking for, but it's $129. :( Any other suggestions?

Well... Personally I think there's 2 main ways to go:

1) Get a much cheaper (& less capable:() program & if needed edit the DVD layout it produces to get what you want. There are always sales and rebates going on at places like CompUSA, or go for an OEM disc at one of the surplus outlets online.

2) Use Muxman or DVD author along with freeware programs to create your layout. You'll have to learn a bit about DVDs, and probably learn a few other programs. The output should be as good or better, but you might not find it as easy to get there.

Check out the surplus sites, see what they have in stock, check out anything that interests you. Then go through some of the guides, checkout Muxman etc., and you'll be in fair shape to decide.

@zambelli

I believe you can obtain a FULLY FUNCTIONAL 30 day free trial version of DVDLab. You might want to check it out and determine if the program is worthy of your investment.

Hmm, only up to three audio tracks.

Wellll.... I've used some very inexpensive & pretty limited DVD authoring apps to do menus, then gone back in adding tracks as needed. Could add in after DVD Author GUI. :)

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm currently using the 30-day trial of DVDLab Studio and it seems to be doing the trick so far. Thanks!
