I thought technological progress made issues like these less likely.
Burned a +R DL with PGCedit and Decrypter. (book type set to DVD-ROM)
Plays back fine on a $40 US Apex AD110W and on an old Pioneer DV-440. However, it fails to play on a year old Pioneer DVR-220 :confused:
I've read that others had the same experience yet no one knows if DVD-R DL will work. (where do I get them for that matter) +R ,although not officially supported, plays fine (or so I hear)
Question is: why does this happen, and what is so different about commercial disks that they can play on anything.
