Im using VOB Instant CD+DVD ver. 6.5. My DVD burner is a Toshiba SD-R5272. VOB Instant CD+DVD didnt have the SD-R5272 driver, so Im using the Toshiba SD-R6012 driver. Is this bad? Where can I find MY driver that VOB Instant CD+DVD will use?

Some of my DVD's are choppy and skip around a lot. Some are fine. Just wondering if this would be the problem? (Tried playing choppy DVD's on several standalone DVD players and PC's, same problem on all. Verified data after write, etc.) I use RiData 8X DVD's.

- Thanks

A program won't need a different driver for your drive - in fact DVD burners typically don't need drivers at all. I'm unfamiliar with your program, but if it has the option, let it create an .ISO image instead of burning directly to disk, then use Nero or DVD Decrypter to burn it and select a lower burn speed. If you're burning at 8X to an 8X disk it's not unusual to have problems.

I am unfamiliar with my program too, hehe. When I installed the program, it wouldn't recognize my DVD burner until I specified a driver (from a list it provided me). I was reading through some posts last night and saw a person with a similar problem. The post recommended DVD Decrypter for ripping the DVD, ImgTool Burn for creating an image, then DVD Decrypter again to burn the image. I did this and I still get choppy playback (even freezes) on one of my standalone DVD players, but not on my other standalone DVD player (one is Toshiba, the other is a Panasonic). I even get choppy playback on my DVD Drive yet not on either of my standalone DVD players for some DVD's I burn. What do you think is causing these random playback issues (play on Standalone DVD1, not on Standalone DVD2. Play on Standalone DVD1 and DVD2, yet not on DVD Drive) ???

Thanks for your help =]
