DVD Menu Editing

Anyone here use a tiny app called "MenuEdit" for editing menu buttons and layouts? I am trying to learn it right now. I figured out how to remove buttons from a menu, but cannot figure out how to redirect what a button does from a menu; example: clicking on a button for Widescreen will play the movie, when I want to change that so when you click on the Widescreen button it will take you to the Main Menu instead. If anyone knows how, please tell me. I can't find any tutorials online.

Sure, I use it all the time for deleting buttons for stuff I'm not keeping, like extras. It's not designed for redirecting where the buttons take you. PGCEdit can do what you want. However, if you're doing something like getting rid of the fullscreen version of the movie, and want to go right to the menu for the widescreen version, then that's what the new Jump To PGC Upon DVD Insert Macro is for. Here's a guide:

You Trace through the Widescreen button to the movie, wait while it runs through the movie and back to the menu, and then use the Macro on it. But there's also a good chance I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do.

Upon playing the dvd you get presented with a menu: FS Version / WS Version. FS version was ripped out and WS version kept. That was why I removed the button for the FS Version. Now, when I click on the WS Version button, the movie starts immediately, when instead, I want to be taken to the Main Menu when you click on the WS Version button.

And that's what I explained (not very well, maybe). Follow the guide. If you do it right, you'll skip over that Widescreen Menu, and go straight to the Main Menu. If you don't do it right, you'll still have all the original IFOs backed up to replace and start over again. Or, you can also fool around with trying to make the Widescreen Button take you to the Main Menu, rather than directly to the movie.

Just make sure you use "Hide Button" instead of "Delete button". Some menus will route on the number of the button pressed. It looks like it's the case here as well. If you delete the FS button (which is 1) WS will become FS. So it will play the FS, and then take you to the menu. Because the FS is stripped it will look like you directly go to the menu.

If you completely want to jump the selection menu, just add the pressed button and the routing to the pre-commands (in IfoEdit or PGCEdit).
