Hi, everyone in Doom9's Forum
This's my first time writing here. As the title mentioned, my objective is find out a semi-standard (or maybe x264 setting) for QuickTime 7.
Nearly a year, I found lots of DVD encoding enthussiasts with highly professional skills, trying to develop some codec without all the bullshit restrictions in Doom 9. Between Nero h.264 and x264, the second one obviously has been developed faster. In Nero codec, they have a setting for QuickTime 6. That let me wonder is that possible for the gifted members here like bond... to put some time in the setting for the Apple QuickTime 7?
I heard somebody arguring that on both Windows & Macintosh, there have been lots of brillient players like MPC and VLC. But Apple's QuickTime has already been a quite good standard player among the COMMON people, so for the purpose of spreading x264 to the less skilled people, it does make some sence.
I wish x264 can later become the de facto standard among the underground DVD encoding area. Welcome other people to discuss the topic with me. By the way, I really do not have very deep knowladge, but hopefully I can contribute some useful ideas to the forum.
