Block all popups and let you choose from which site you want popups.

The Popup blocker doesn't work, instead of blocking all ads popup, I can't even go into doom9 forum without putting it on my allowed list.

Huh? Yeah, you have to allow some sites :). Description updated. It's true I haven't seen any popup before adding the site.

The Doom9 forum is a popup, ain't it?

A few years ago, I used a program that would never allow a new window to open unless the shift key was pressed. That was a bit overkill in the popup protection department.

The standard FireFox popup prevention works reasonable well, although more garbatge is overcoming it.

Firefox with http://adblock.mozdev.org/ (AdBlock), a decent filter for Adblock (http://www.pierceive.com/), and FlashBlock (http://flashblock.mozdev.org/) means that I see an unwanted popup maybe once a month, if that. (Lots of popups today use Flash to open a new window as most blockers don't stop it)
