Regards Everyone,
I am rather new at Virtual Dub. I was looking through the various entries in this section to find something about the above funtion.
Shouldn't it be possible to save a VHS AVI recordingas an image sequence, take it to a photo editor program like Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, run a batch process and improve the image quality there and put it back together as an AVI file?
I was able to save an AVI file as a sequence of BMP images, but could not figure out how to convert them back to an AVI file. How do you do that?
I assume that one would have to first save the audio as a WAV file, wouldn't you loose the audio when the file has become a group of BMP images?
Wouldn't I then use Mimungr's process in the "How to get vbr audio out, go to wav and remux" Thread to put the audio back in the file? I have tons of old NTSC VHS just waiting in the wings to become DVD.
